It's easy to apply with the Texas Secretary of State's office to become an online notary, but there are a few important steps you must complete before applying.

  1. Be a traditional notary public in good standing.
  2. Secure your digital certificate - see here for instructions.
  3. Request your digital seal from Notarize - instructions are included in the process of acquiring your digital certificate.

Once you've completed these steps, follow these instructions to become a commissioned electronic notary public in the Texas.
