
Notaries public in Nevada can now apply to serve their communities as commissioned online notaries. This commission will allow you to complete electronic notarizations completely online through a secure, two-way video call.
How to Obtain Your Online Notarial Commission
Current Nevada notaries can apply to become an online notary public through the Secretary of State's Office. You can find the application and its requirements here.
As a Nevada notary, you will need to submit an exemplar as part of your online notarization application to the Secretary of State’s office. You can download your exemplar by logging in to your Proof account and completing the steps below.
- Click your initials in the upper right corner of your account.
- Select Manage my account from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Click Notary profile from the menu on the left.
- Select the Digital Certificate tab.
- Click the Export Exemplar button underneath the graphic.
- Check the email associated with your account for a link to download the file.
When you receive your RON commission, just come back your Proof account and upload it to your profile! All of your other documentation will be just where you left it.
Who Can Notarize on Our Platform?
Notaries in Nevada can use the Proof platform in three ways: as an independent contracted notary, as an employee notary for a business, or to serve their own clients.
All notaries that use the Notarize platform must meet similar minimum compliance standards. Therefore, all notaries will follow the same application process to access our platform.
