In the words of American author, advocate, and activist Helen Keller, “The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves.

In an effort to bring that cheer — specifically to the devoted teachers educating our leaders of the future — Notarize celebrated #GivingTuesday by pledging $10,000 to and participating in Instagram influencer @things.i.bought.and.liked’s campaign working towards helping Title 1 teachers clear their Amazon wishlists.

Throughout the course of the day, teachers across the country reached out to Notarize to both sing their students’ praises and share their stories about the ways in which the items included on their Amazon wishlist could provide much needed support and relief within the walls of their classrooms and beyond.

As the smallest token of our gratitude, we answered by using a portion of the total pledge amount for a chosen teacher in nearly each of the 50 states. Whether it be hats and gloves, snacks and water, books and pencils, or games and art supplies, our effort to bring cheer to classrooms nationwide made as much of a meaningful impact on our team as we hope it did the teachers, too.

Though #GivingTuesday has since passed, the holiday season is in full swing and serves as the perfect opportunity to bring a happier life by delivering hope and spreading cheer — whether for teachers or others making a difference in our local communities.
